Everyone has their secret spots when it comes to fishing, but while traveling to new lakes, keep these tips in mind. Largemouth bass spend most of their lives in 5 to 15 feet deep water, but occasionally move deeper to hunt for food or to escape sunlight. When near shallow water bass typically are near some kind of shady cover, and more likely if that shade is near deep water.
